Per CMS' instructions, until the J-12 MAC transition is completed on December 12, 2008 Highmark Medicare Services will not add Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) or make revisions to LCDs, except those revisions that are necessary and required for the updating of the ICD-9s, CPT, and HCPCS codes within our existing policies.  Therefore, the next CAC meeting will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009. 

In the interim we are actively updating the CAC rosters and CAC website where necessary for all of the areas within the J-12 MAC jurisdiction.  As part of this effort, we may be contacting individual CAC members to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information. 

I encourage each of you to visit the J12 MAC Transition webpage on a regular basis for updates on the transition process.
