The dates for the last PIP payment from Riverbend and the first PIP payment from Highmark Medicare Services as reported in the J12 Transition Newsletter for NJ Part A providers that was posted to our J12 Transition website on August 15, 2008 and also in the hardcopy newsletter mailed out on August 18, 2008, have been REVISED. PERIODIC INTERIM PAYMENTS (PIP) WILL BE ISSUED ON FRIDAYS for NJ PART A Providers
As part of the transition from Riverbend to Highmark Medicare Services, there will be a change in claim Payment Cycles occurring on September 1, 2008 to pay claims daily. In addition, in order to have a consistent J12 payment date for Periodic Interim Payments (PIP) and Bi-weekly Pass-through Payments, which may include Medicare Bad Debts, Direct Medical Education, and Organ Acquisition, a change in the payment day for these payments will also occur. The last PIP/Bi-weekly Payment will be issued by Riverbend on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. The first PIP/Bi-weekly Payment issued by Highmark Medicare Services will occur on Friday, September 19, 2008, and will continue to be issued biweekly on Fridays, thereafter.
