Once you transition to Highmark Medicare Services, we will begin generating the Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) for you if you elected to receive it in lieu of the Standard Paper Remittance (SPR).  In conjunction with the X12N 837 EDI claim testing process, we are reviewing the results of your test as well as verifying if you expect to receive the ERA.  This is a CRITICAL part of the testing approval process, which ensures that your EDI claims submissions and ERA will be created and generated correctly.
 
As a result of this verification, we have discovered that many EDI billers are affiliated to more than one EDI Submitter ID.  We are attempting to contact those individuals who fall into this category to determine which Submitter ID the EDI biller should be affiliated with for EDI billing and ERA.  If we are unable to determine the correct Submitter ID to use for ERA, we will not be able to generate the ERA for you on a temporary basis due to the difference in EDI setup between TrailBlazer and Highmark Medicare Services.  If we are unable to generate the ERA for you due to a multiple Submitter ID arrangement, we will provide the SPR to you temporarily until all of your pending claims (that were originally submitted to TrailBlazer for processing) have finalized.  Once all of your pending claims (that were originally submitted to TrailBlazer for processing) have finalized and the SPR has been issued, we will be able to begin generating ERA for you moving forward.
